Certain holidays are calculated according to the moon, like Easter! Each phase is related to a certain word or phrase: new moon= new beginnings/fresh start, crescent moon= hopes/wishes, first quarter= challenges/ action, gibbous moon= adjust/ edit, full moon= sealed and stamped, waning gibbous/ disseminating moon= gratitude/sharing, last quarter/waning crescent= release/let go, balsamic/ waxing crescent moon= surrender/rest.
